Well this is it. The check is going in the mail today and we just called our landlord here in St. Thomas to tell him we will be gone by September first. We do have some concerns about the size of the apartment in Florence, but we are hoping that having the Piazza Santa Croce to run around in for the girls will help. We have been living without a yard for the last four years so there really isn't a lot of outdoor time here either unless it is at the beach. This will be very different for our youngest (she has been an island girl since she was 5 months old) but our oldest was born in the city and spent the first four years in Hoboken, NJ and Philadelphia, PA - we think the city mouse will adjust just fine.
