Sausage & Beans
Sausage & Beans, or Salsicce & Fagioli. This photo is from March 11, 2007. I was in Chianti over the weekend, and stopped in Panzano at the Antica Macelleria of Dario Cecchini for some meat. I got these sausages (all pork) and some amazing beef "spiadini" or skewers (I am not even sure what cut it was but they were fantastic). Anyway we had a non vegetarian weekend - Saturday night was the beef (with some fried polenta, mushrooms, and a fresh green bean and parmigiano salad). Sunday night we had the beans and sausages. Today I started my diet... :)
We drank a bottle of the Chianti Classico I went hunting for on Saturday with both meals - more on that to come.
