Cranes over the Uffizi
Here are the construction cranes over The Uffizi. They are scheduled to be in place for 5 years. The crane in front is by the exit at the back of the museum. The crane in the background is actually in the Piazza degli Uffizi. 5 years in Florence time really isn't a big deal - but knowing they could be there for 10 or 15 years is sort of a bummer. This picture was taken on February 14, 2006. The first crane went up a week or two ago.
