A friend has recommended this school for studying Italian - Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri. We found their website - it looks fairly comprehensive.

Indispensable. My favorite book for art and architecture in Florence. (*****)
It looks like we are going to send the kids to the Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri for 1 and a half hour sessions 2 or 3 days a week as soon as we get there. We would prefer to all go together but it is pretty expensive! Right now we are working with the Pimsleur program when we have the time, which is hard to find.
